What is it about?
Is there an increase in aggressive violence in PD patients ? This question arose following a murder trial involving a Belgian PD patient, with suspected impulse control disorder induced by dopaminergic agents.

Why is it important?
Does this concern a hitherto underreported problem ? The literature on this topic is scarce.
Perspectives
There is currently no evidence to support the claim of a relation of PD and its treatment with aggressive violence and homicide. However, discussions may arise in individual cases, and defence may claim a relation with impulse control disorder. We urge the movement disorder society to report on additional cases of violence in PD patients, whenever they are encountered.
