What is it about?

A summary of a full journal article prepared for Lipid Technologies magazine. The research looks at immune markers produced from cultured gut cells when they have been exposed to fish oils and friendly or pathogenic bacteria. The research suggests that gut cells exposed to the friendly bacteria used in the study produces cell signals that are involved in tolerance towards bacteria, which may aid in their survival in the gut. The same signals where not produced from gut cells exposed to pathogenic bacteria used in the study.
