Why is it important?
Research is a key role in answering questions about problems facing the healthcare system. By identifying factors that predict research confidence, interest and experience, and identifying barriers to participation in research, organisations are able to put in place strategies to address these.
Perspectives
Departments and pharmacy professional organisations need to really consider how to give time and funding for pharmacists to complete research degrees as these are the strongest predictors of research experience and confidence.
