What is it about?

This article sets out to examine the phenomenon of big data and debunk some of the myths that surround it. It highlights two common myths: methodological issues no longer matter and big data is a complete and unbiased source of information.

Why is it important?

Big data is probably one of the most discussed and least understood terms in use in business today. It is said that big data will give businesses unprecedented insights and herald a management revolution where technology replaces human judgement, but big data is not as straightforward as it might seem.
