As causes of overdiagnosis are heterogeneous, the model described helps decision-makers and physicians to understand the whole picture and to design strategies to control it.
Perspectives
I expect this collaborative article helps to approach the growing problem of overdiagnosis and to design new alternatives to deal with the problem considering the patient expectations, the physician needs, the health system structure and the environment pressure.
