Perspectives
It is the first demonstration that Cdon is involved in differentiation of oligodendrocytes, a type of neural cell that forms myelin. Although, further studies are required to investigate the mechanism(s) by which Cdon is involved in OLG differentiation and myelination, our results provide a solid basis for future investigation of its role in remyelination and CNS repair in demyelinating diseases
