What is it about?
This paper addresses the economic operation of electric vehicle parking using a novel control methods. In this paper, we introduce a distributed cooperative control algorithm to determine the best operation strategy for the operator/owner of parking. The proposed distributed control approach completely eliminates the reliance on a central controller to make an optimal decision while still satisfying a variety of global and local constraints.

Why is it important?
The proposed distributed control approach completely eliminates the reliance on a central controller to make an optimal decision while still satisfying a variety of global and local constraints. Distributed control algorithms improve from various aspects including, Single Point of Failure, Scalability and Interoperability, computational Cost.
