What is it about?
Considering the large potential of Pakistan towards the renewable and hydroelectric power, optimization and energy planning is being perfomed for a period of 10 years. It also includes the installation of new power plants. And some power plants are also propsed in different years.

Why is it important?
It is an important case study for initial feasibility of Pakistan's power planning and optimization. Effect of CO2 mitigation via fuel balancing and carbon capture & sequestration on cost of electricity is also studied.
Perspectives
This is an initial feasibility study which can be further improved by considering more realistic parameters for the power plants and load variations.
