What is it about?
The methodology involved in developing a GC method for the quantitation of theophylline in serum. A non-specific UV-spectrophotometric method was currently in use at the time. Xanthines that were ingested such as caffiene and present in the body such as uric acids could interfere and exaggerate the concentrations of theophylline in the blood.
