What is it about?
Radiation therapy with or without concurrent chemotherapy has shown improved survival benefits in treatment of locally advanced (unresectable) extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. This study evaluates the value of escalated dose of radiotherapy vs standard doses.

Why is it important?
Our findings show that escalated dose radiation therapy is not superior to standard dose radiation therapy. This is important in clinical practice to avoid unnecessary over-treatment of locally advanced extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma patients.
Perspectives
It was a great pleasure writing this article. I have enjoyed working with co-authors. I hope this article adds to literature about extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma .
