Why is it important?
Fe3O4/MWCNTs nanostructures as biomimetic catalysts have some advantages such as simplicity, stability, reusability and cost effectiveness which makes them a great candidate to be used in various fields of biotechnology applications.
Perspectives
This nanocatalyst with H2O2-induced oxidation can play an important role to reduce the environmental pollution. It is suggested that this nanozyme with high catalytic activity can catalyze other organic substrates such as aromatic compounds even at the absence of H2O2. Also the combination of nanocatalysts with ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents can be applied for designing of new peroxidase mimetic systems.
