What is it about?

In this publication, we introduce a new, to the best of the authors’ knowledge, class of electron symmetric Pearcey Gaussian vortex beams (ESPGVBs) for the first time. And the propagation of ESPGVBs is investigated in free space and in a constant magnetic field. In both two mediums, ESPGVBs possess auto-focusing and self-healing properties.

Why is it important?

ESPGVBs are presented and investigated analytically and numerically. This work shows the high-tunable auto-focusing ability of ESPGVBs and discusses the self-healing property of ESPGVBs in free space and in a constant magnetic field.

Perspectives

This publication will help develop and expand the practical application of ESPGVBs.
