What is it about?

Warming and drought stress can reduce the yield of winter wheat in Jiangsu Province and inhibit the formation of dry matter in winter wheat grain. The combined effect of warming and drought was more severe than that of single stress. The effects of warming and drought on winter wheat in Jiangsu Province have regional differences.

Why is it important?

Our findings show that the yield reduction degree of winter wheat under other stresses increased from south to north, and the dry matter distribution of grain was lower in the South than in the north and lower in the central part of Jiangsu Province.

Perspectives

The pleasure of scientific research lies in continuous exploration, and the greatest pleasure lies in the fact that the laws found in exploration are different from those imagined, and give it a reasonable explanation, which is also the driving force of scientific and technological progress.
