What is it about?
Say a cardiologist wants to evaluate the risk a patient has to heart disease. Should (s)he perform open heart surgery and measure the thickness of the fat plaques on the artery walls or should (s)he measure the fat concentration of the blood? We can all agree the latter option is much more cost effective. Same idea is applied to rocks in this paper. Our "biomarker" is Tracer Breakthrough Profiles and what we try to assess is the reservoir quality.
