The Diagnosis and management of thyroid nodules

What is it about?

The up-to-date recommendations for the management of thyroid nodules are examined to provide a guide for the diagnosis and a schedule for an effective follow-up.

Why is it important?

Thyroid nodules are common, and most are benign. The approach has shifted: now ultrasound determines the need for other exams, such as fine-needle aspiration biopsy and molecular testing, and the frequency of future examinations.

Perspectives
