Cereal Genomics: Methods and Protocols
Luis Vaschetto

Major cereal crops, which include wheat, maize, rice, barley, oat, sorghum, and millet, represent primary food sources for populations around the world. Nowadays, the emergence of high-throughput sequencing technologies, along with bioinformatics tools to analyze big volumes of data and genome-editing platforms to dissect gene pathways, has modified the mode of working with genetic information and complex traits.
In the next years, it is expected that both basic and applied research in cereal genomics will play a crucial role to achieve sustainable global food security
