What is it about?

Having higher insulin in the morning helps the liver take up more sugar after a second meal later in the day, even if insulin is not higher then. However, the biggest improvement still happens when insulin is also higher during the second meal. This suggests that early-day changes in insulin can help the body handle later meals better.
