What is it about?

Dopamine is a signaling molecule as a brake to negatively regulate insulin secretion. Dopamine is stored in the vesicle and is co-secreted with insulin. Storage of dopamine in the vesicle is important to protect beta-cells from prolonged exposure to ROS. that generated during insulin secretion, particularly during overnutrition.
