This is a survey of physiotherapists on how they assess neck pain, gain consent before manual therapy (manipulation) and which techniques they use to treat symptoms.

Why is it important?

This is the first survey for more than 15 years which asks how safe is the current practice of neck manipulation.

Perspectives

Physiotherapy is a caring profession, it uses scientific knowledge combined with experiential learning. Your perspective is a construct of unique learning experiences. Like most professions there are gaps in the knowledge. We form an opinion from our valued experiences to complete the puzzle.
