What is it about?
Wool consists of Keratin protein which has an ability to adsorb metal ions. Hence the industrial waste water that contains loads of metal ion contamination can be treated with wool filters to remove these harmful metal ions from industrial effluent waters. This work is primarily focused on adsorption of Cu(II) ions by waste wool.
