What is it about?

We are looking at the effect radiation damage has on micron sized crystals and find that smaller crystals behave differently than what is currently known in the literature.

Why is it important?

As we are now in the era of collecting x-ray data on smaller and smaller crystals due to the introduction of X-ray Free Electron Lasers we need to characterise the effects of radiation damage have on crystals in this size regime.
